Installation and Operating Instructions
Instructions de montage et de service
The connecting cables must be authorized for a constant temperature of at least 90° C.
The connecting terminals are suitable for AWG 24-12 cables.
Maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.
Connecting the ground terminal
The cable lug with the earthing cable is screwed onto the motor plate with an M4 oval-head screw using a spring washer and two ring washers (tightening torque = 1.1 Nm)
(Fig. 4) The cross-section of the PE cable must match the cross-section of the line/neutral cable connection at the very least. The connection of the ground cable is to carry out
in such a way that it is separated as last in the event of a fault.
Electrical fuse for the machine
The machine is to be fused according to the wiring diagram provided.
This fuse must be easily accessible and clearly labeled.

Manual hand wheel

Before beginning manual operation, pull the hand wheel, turn it and attach it securely on the hexagonal connector of the hand wheel shaft (Fig. 5).
For manual operation, pull the coupling bushing to the limit stop (the motor will be disengaged) and crank using the crank handle.
Operation clockwise → stem is extended. Operation counterclockwise → stem is retracted (Fig. 5). Manual operation is also possible with the help of a cordless screwdriver. A
hexagonal connector for hexagonal nuts is provided (Fig. 5).
Attention
The manual override must only be used when the motor is not running
Warning! Manual operation may only be carried out when the motor is switched off.
7.

Test run

Testing the rotation direction:
If the drive does not run in the intended direction, the connections on the A2 and A3 terminals must be changed.
Testing the limit switches
Switching off the actuator is carried out using the limit switches E1 and E2 in the travel range and the force switches K1 and K2 (Fig. 6) in the OPEN or CLOSE direction when
a defined opening or closing force has been exceeded. The force switch K1 and limit switch E1 as well as the force switch K2 and limit switch E2 are wired to each other. The
end position switch off for the entire valve is factory set.

Settings

8.7
Stroke settings
The maximum stroke of the REact 60 amounts to 60 mm and 80 mm for the REact 100 (see technical information, page 5). The sliding carriage which is fixed
has a stroke of 50 mm for both drives. For a nominal stroke of over 60mm, an adaption stem with integrated transmission is installed. The gear spindle (6 mm
pitch) is decoupled from the sliding carriage. The sliding carriage is moved by a 3 pitch gear spindle. In Fig. 7, the state of a retracted stem is displayed.
8.8
Force shut-down settings
Force shut-down has been factory set (operational force/closing force, see: technical information, page 5).
An adjustment is therefore not required.
8.9
Travel limit switch settings
The travel limit switch E1 is wired in row with the force switch K1 for the OPEN direction (stem retracts) and E2 is wired in row with the force switch K2 for the SHUT direction
(stem extends). To limit the path in the SHUT direction (stem extends) the adjusting stem E2 is used (Fig. 8). To limit the path in the OPEN direction (stem retracts) the
adjusting stem E1 is used (Fig. 8). In doing so, the switch cam may not be shifted over the switching point of the micro-switch.
If the travel limit switches E1 and E2 are not required, these can be rotated into the respective end position using the adjusting stem. The drive is then shut off using the power
shut-off.
8.10 Additional limit switch settings
The additional limit switches E3 and E4 may be used as desired to signal intermediate positions; they may be set using the adjusting stem (Fig. 8).
8.11
Settings on the potentiometer
The potentiometer has already been factory set upon the delivery of the actuator with the valve (standard: 10% of the max. ohm value of the potentiometer).
Subsequent adjustments to the potentiometer:
Move the instrument into the desired end position.
By removing the grub screw, the adjusting ring on the potentiometer shaft may be turned (Fig. 9). The resistance value of the potentiometer may be altered as desired
(standard: 10% of the max. ohm value of the potentiometer.
