Information
•
The RTK actuators control the control or shut/off valves requiring a linear nominal displacement. Refer to the data sheets or technical data for ratings and
applications. Only use the actuator for the designated purpose. Any actuator use outside the specified technical data or incorrect use is considered
improper.
•
In this actuator the motor may be operated at higher ambient temperatures (limit: see techn. data).

Electrical Connection
Follow the safety regulations when connecting the electrical of this actuator.
Compare the type of current, supply voltage and frequency with the data in the type plate.
The actuator has 4 x M 20 cable glands. The cable glands must be screwed in correctly to maintain the protection rating and to prevent
long-term damage from corrosion. To ensure protection class IP65, the cable diameters at the cable glands must be 10-14 mm.
Connect according to the electrical connection plan (Image 1).
The connections must be rated for a minimum continuous temperat8ure of 90 °C.
Maintenance and repairs must be performed by trained experts.
Ground connection
Screw the cable shoe with ground cable to the motor plate with an M4 fillister head screw using a spring washers and two washers (torque=1.1 Nm) (Image 5). The cross-
section of the PE line must be at least the same as the cross-section of the L/N line connection. The connection of the ground cable is to carry out in such a way that it is
separated as last in the event of a fault.
Electrical fuse on the device
The device must be protected against short-circuit according to the included wiring diagram.
This fuse must be easy to access and clearly labelled.

Manual hand wheel
Remove the hand wheel before using the manual hand wheel, turn and firmly push onto the hex on the hand wheel shaft (Image 6).
To use the manual operation pull the coupling bushing to the limit stop (this will uncouple the motor.) and crank with the crank handle.
Clockwise operation→Extends stem. Counter-clockwise operation→Retracts stem (Image 5). A power drill may also be used for manual operation. A hex hexagonal bar is in
place to attach a hexagon spanner head to (Image 6).
Attention
The manual override must only be used when the motor is not running

Test run
Checking the direction of rotation:
If the actuator does not turn in the intended direction, reverse the connections on terminals A2 and A3.
Checking the limit switch
The actuator is switched off by limit switches E1 and E2 using the displacement and the force switches K1 and K2 (Image 7) in OPEN or CLOSED direction when exceeding a
defined opening or closing force. Force switch K1 and limit switch E1 as well as force switch K2 and limit switch E2 are wired together. The limit shut-off is factory preset for the
entire valve.
