Installation and Operating Instructions
Instructions de montage et de service
1.
Attachment to equipment
Attachment to the equipment may be carried out on any position; however, the attachment may not hang downwards. The gear spindle and parallel guide are
screwed together and dowelled with a DIN 8752 spring pin (Fig. 2).
When ordering an actuator, the length of the pillars must be stated.
•
Screw in the suitable pillars
•
Screw the DIN 439 M 12 hexagonal nut onto the plug stem
•
Screw the cone clutch onto the plug stem
•
Position the actuator on the valve
•
Mount the spring washers and hexagonal nuts
•
Connect the cone clutch and the parallel guide using the 4 M6x25 hexagonal bolts and spring washers
Permitted mounting positions:
•
Vertical upright position
•
Horizontal position with the pillars stacked
The actuator is to be installed in such a way that there is sufficient space for manual operation. Furthermore, there must be
a space of approx. 120 mm in between it and the upper part of the body to be able to disassemble it (Fig. 3).
2.
Installation conditions
•
maximum elevation at 2000 m sea level
•
maximum working humidity of 95%
•
Power supply ±10%
•
Overvoltage category II
•
Degree of contamination II
3.
Hazard warnings
Hazard due to dangerous electrical voltage.
Hazard due to hot surfaces
4.
Notes
•
In RTK actuators, control and shut-off valves are operated which require a linear nominal travel. Ratings and applications may be taken from the data
sheets and technical information. The drive may only be used for the intended purpose. Any use of the actuator outside of those defined in the technical
information or improper use is considered an infringement of use.
•
The electric motor may be operated in this drive at higher ambient temperatures (limit: see technical information).
5.
Electrical connection
During the electrical connection of the actuator, the safety guidelines must be observed.
Check the current, voltage and frequency with the information stated on the type plate.
The actuator is provided with 4 x M 20 cable glands. To comply with the protection rating and to avoid
corrosion damages over a long-term basis, the cable screw connections must be screwed together correctly.
To ensure protection class IP65, the cable diameters at the cable glands must be 10-14 mm.
Connection is carried out in accordance with the electrical connection diagram (Fig. 1).
