15.0 Rear wheels

24" Drive wheels
The 24" drive wheels are equipped with quick release
axles
Quick-Release Axles for Rear Wheels
Removing the rear wheels will keep the wheelchair as
compact as possible.
The wheels can thus
be installed or removed
without using tools.
To remove a wheel, simply
press the quick-release
button on the axle (1) and
pull the wheel out.
CAUTION!
Hold the quick-release button on the axle pressed when
inserting the axle into the frame to mount the rear wheels.
Release the button to lock the wheel in place. The quick-
release button should snap back to its original position.
Never remove a rear when a person is sitting in the chair.
Lockable Castors
The lockable castors are steerable and breakable castors
which assume the function of the rear wheels when
removed. On the one hand, they make it possible to push
the wheelchair through narrow door openings (e.g. to
bathroom or WC}, on the other hand, they make it easier
for the person to maneuver the wheelchair sideways.

16.0 Anti-Tip Tubes

The anti-tip tubes provide additional safety for
inexperienced users when they are still learning how
to operate their wheelchairs. Anti-tip tubes prevent a
wheelchair from tipping over backwards. The anti-tip
tube can be swung downwards by pushing it or rotated
forwards. There should be a gap of 30 to 50mm to the
floor.
To go up or down a step
(e.g. kerb) the anti-tip tubes
must be swung forwards, to
prevent them from touching
the ground.
WARNING!
Incorrect setup of the anti-tips will increase the risk of a
rearwards tip. The anti-tip wheel protects the wheelchair
from overturning backwards.
Note The anti-tip wheel is particularly useful for
inexperienced wheelchair users as it gives them more
security.

17.0 Step Tubes

Step tubes are used by attendants to push a wheelchair
over an obstacle. Simply step on the tube to push a
wheelchair, for example, over a step.
Slide the step tube into the
rear frame tube and fix it
with the M6 screw and a
self-locking nut.
