Stroke limiter and seal adjuster for GEMÜ 687

Only mount the GEMÜ 1106 with a

ready assembled valve body!
1. Move the valve to the open position.
2. Remove cap and / or optical position
indicator.
3. If an adapter 12 is included (dependent
on valve), screw it tight onto spindle
thread 2.

4. Screw this assembly 2 onto actuator
spindle B.
5. Screw stroke limiter 7 into actuator top
(grease threads).
6. Setting the stroke limiter:
a. Move the valve to the closed position.
b. Screw in stroke limiter 7 to the desired
stroke.
c. Place washer 6 and hexagon nut 10
over stroke limiter 7 and tighten.
7. Setting the seal adjuster:
A (To improve diaphragm life)
a. Move the valve to the closed position.
b. Screw one of the nuts 3 on spindle 2
towards stroke limiter 7 hand tight and
tighten it another half turn. Fix with
second nut 3.
When replacing the diaphragm,

reset the seal adjuster if
necessary!
B (Setting a minimum flow)
a. Move the valve to the open position.
b. Screw down the first nut 3 on spindle 2
until the desired minimum stroke is
achieved between nut 3 and stroke
limiter 7. Fix with second nut 3.
8. Move the valve to the open position.
9. Insert O-ring 8 into cap 11.
10. Screw cap 11 onto stroke limiter 7 and
hand tighten it.
When the stroke is changed, the

seal adjuster must be reset!
