9. Cleaning

m WARNING
Disconnect the spark plug boot before doing any clean-
ing and maintenance work. (Fig. 19)
Cleaning
• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor-
housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.Wipe
the equipment with a clean cloth or blow itwith com-
pressed air at low pressure. ATTENTION! Wear safe-
ty glasses!
• We recommend that you clean the device immediately
each time you have finished using it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and
some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or sol-
vents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equip-
ment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device.
10. Maintenance
Never use the saw without an air filter. Otherwise, dust and
dirt would be pulled into the motor, which can become dam-
aged by these. Keep the air filter clean! The air filter must be
cleaned or replaced every 20 operating hours.
Cleaning the air filter
1. Ensure that the stop switch is set to stop (0).
2. Remove the top cover (fig. 16) by removing the clips from
the cover as shown in figure 16. You can then remove the
cover (fig. 16).

plug (G) by pulling and turning it at the same time (fig. 19).
4. Remove the air filter fastening knob (fig. 17) by turning it
anticlockwise.
