VCR SET Menu

Setting

Press the MENU button, then press the SHIFT v
button to select "5. VCR SET".

Press the MENU button.

Press the DATA + (or –) button to select the
desired setting for "REC MODE", then press the
SHIFT v button. Following the same procedure,
select the desired settings for "REC FIELD",
"REC SPEED", and "ALARM REC SPEED",
"TRIG. EDGE".
For more details on each setting, see "VCR Settings"
below.

Press the MENU button, then press the SHIFT v
button to select "7. EXIT" and press the MENU
button again.
VCR Settings
REC MODE
Set the mode according to the type of VCR connected
to the unit.
SP: When using a time lapse VCR.
LP: When using a time lapse VCR (LP mode): for
example, Sony SVT-L230P.
REC FIELD
Set "REC FIELD" to 1 or 3 to get a clear picture when
using a time lapse VCR (LP mode). For details, see
below.
When "SP" is selected for the "REC MODE", the
"REC FIELD" setting is then fixed to "1".
When "LP" is selected for the "REC MODE", the
"REC FIELD" setting can be switched between "1 and
3".
1: The unit will switch the input to the next camera
after one (1) image is output (1 field recording/
camera).
3: The unit will switch the input to the next camera
after three (3) images are output (3 field
recording/camera).
Notes
• REC FIELD 3: Better image quality.
• REC FIELD 1: May get cross-talk from the adjacent
track but you can record three times more data than
the 3 field recording.
• REC SPEED 3H (6H in LP mode): 2 fields/camera in
REC FIELD
REC SPEED
Set the duration according to the VCR recording
speed.
SP: 3H, 12H, 24H, 48H, 72H, 96H, 120H, 168H,
240H, 360H, 480H, 720H, 960H
LP: 6H, 18H, 30H, 48H, 72H, 96H, 120H, 168H,
240H, 360H, 480H, 720H, 960H
The duration indicated is for E-180 tape.
Time lapse VCRs (LP mode) use E-240 tape, therefore
the duration will be as indicated by the examples
below.
