As soon as the disc is inserted, the display will show the mes-
sage "MP3". After that, two numbers appear. The first one cor-
responds to the number of folders in the disk, and the second
represents the total number of files.
Only then, playback will start automatically, in the aforemen-
tioned sequence.
To go to the next highest folder (for example from 7 to 6)
press the key 5 (
). If you continue to press the key (one
press at a time), you will be able to select higher and higher fold-
ers, until you reach the folder at the top of the list. Now, if you
press the key again, scanning will resume from the folder at the
bottom of the list.
To go to the next lowest folder (for example from 6 to 7) press
the key 6 (
).
To select the other folders, follow the instructions given.
To select the files in the each folder, press the key
forward through the list; press the key
through the list.
Once you reach the end of the list, scanning will resume from
the start (or from the end, depending on the selected order).
If you hold the key 5 (
can move forwards or backwards 10 files.
NOTES
- Once you have loaded an MP3 disc, the player will read its
entire contents. If there are many folders arranged on several
levels, it will take a few seconds for playback to start. Moving
from one file to another and fast forwarding may also be s-
lowed. Therefore, you will probably want to limit the number
of levels to 2.
- You can set the order of the playlist by placing a number in
front of the name of the file (e.g.: 01, 02, 03, etc.).
Display of information on
the folders and the MP3 files
It is possible to display number of the track that is playing, its
duration, and the number of the folder where the file is contained
by pressing the key
.
The MP3 files can also include a variety of information such
as the title of the song, the author, and so on. They are con-
tained in special indicators called "ID3 Tag".
Press the key
in sequence to display (in order):
- Number of the currently active folder and file
- the name of the folder (if present)
- the name of the file (if present)
- The title of the song
- The name of the author
- Album title

At the end, the current time is shown for five seconds.
The display shows a maximum of 8 characters (bother letters
and numbers; characters other than these may not be shown
correctly). If the files and/or folders do not contain any infor-
mation, the display will show the message "NO FOLD, NO
TRK, NO TLT, NO ALBM, NO ART".

WARNINGS

- New CDs may have slight roughness on the inner and out-
er edges, which would prevent them from playing properly. To
solve this, run a pen or pencil around the edge of the disc and
in the centre hole.
- Ensure that the printed side (or with the label) faces up. If a
disc is not inserted correctly, the display will show the mes-
sage DISC ERROR twice and then the radio will come on.

If the message is still shown, refer the chapter "Reset".
- Do not attempt to insert a disc when the player is off.
- Do not attempt to load more than one CD at a time.
- Do not attempt to play CD's that are wet or have traces of
humidity.
- Do not hold the disc during the loading phase.
- Do not attempt to play CD's that are damaged, warped, or
that have unusual or non-circular shapes, nor 3-inch discs
with adaptors. Any of these may damage the player.
You should also use discs that are marked with the following
symbols:
Please remember that unauthorized copying of audio materi-
al is violation of copyright and of the author's rights.
- When handling discs, hold them by the outer edge. Do not
touch the surface of the disc with your fingers. Do not write
on them using pencils or pens with a stiff point.
- To remove dust, fingerprints and traces of grease from the
disc, wipe it with a soft, clean cloth, in radial movements from
the centre outwards.
- Do not label your CD's with adhesive tape, which may ruin
the covering of the disc and prevent it from playing correctly.
- Do not leave your discs exposed to humidity, dust or direct sun-
light, near sources of heat, or in places where temperatures
may become high. After listening, put them back in their cases.
