2.3 - Headlight adjustment operations
Adjustment cannot start until the Headlight Centering device has been
prepared as illustrated in the previous chapter.
The Headlight Centering device can only be powered by means of the ON
button. The instrument will automatically proceed with an AUTOTEST
phase. All the display pixels will come on if there are no faults. Failing this,
the display will indicate the type of fault in question.
The instrument will also meanwhile proceed with the 9 Volt battery test.
A long beep will indicate that the battery is in a good condition.
If the battery is low, the following message will appear on the display:
LOW BATTERY. The sound will become intermittent and the Headlight
Centering device will switch off shortly afterwards.
NOTA BENE:
If the projector in front of the headlight centering unit is off, the instrument
would automatically switch off after 3 minutes of inactivity.
After the Headlight Centering device has terminated the AUTOTEST phase,
the display will indicate the TYPE OF REGULATION indication which
enables access to the Main menu of the functions carried out by the
equipment.
The required selection refers to the type of light to be adjusted.
• Press the SELECT/ENTER (26) key for a short time and the display will
visualise all the types of light that can be adjusted.

• Press the SELECT/ENTER key for 2 seconds to confirm. Depress the
same button for two seconds to confirm the selection.
• A double ringing signal will indicate that confirmation has been
accepted.
