2 Tips on using bags
MAGIC VAC
bags are available in two widths: 20
®
and 30 cm. Choose the bag size suited for the food
you intend to preserve. Check that the bag you are
going to use is at least 8 cm longer than the food to
be packaged, taking into account an additional 2 cm
for each time the bag will be subsequently reused.
3 How to make bags from MAGIC VAC
- Unroll the correct length of the bag you want to
make from the roll and cut it with the MAGIC bag
cutter (15) as shown in (fig. A), moving it from side
to side. Now seal an open end of the cut bag as
follows:
- Lift the lid (3) until you hear a small click so it is in
the open position.
- Seal an open end of the cut bag by positioning one
of the two open ends of the bag on the sealing bar
(6) with the smooth side facing down (fig. B) .
Caution: Do not let the bag hang over into the vacu-
um chamber (9) or on the sealing gasket (7).
- Close the lid (3) and press down on the front
corners of the lid with your thumbs (fig. C). The
appliance will automatically carry out the com-
plete vacuum packing cycle and turn off when it
is finished. When the red SEAL indicator light (1)
shuts off, the operation is finished.
- Press down on the round recessed area of the
manual valve (4) to release the lid (fig. D).
- Open the lid of the appliance and remove the bag.
- Check the quality of the seal obtained, which
should appear as a uniform, wrinkle-free crosswi-
se strip with no internal ridges in the bag. (fig. E)
