7 Putting out of operation

NOTICE
• Please make sure that the shutdown procedures for all components mounted in the welding system are

8 Maintenance and cleaning

Scheduled maintenance and cleaning is a prerequisite for a long life and a trouble-free operation.
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up
The following instructions must be adhered to for the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, mounting,
dismounting and repair work:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close the gas supply.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
Electric shock
Dangerous voltage due to defective cables.
• Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
• Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts.

• The maintenance intervals given are standard values and refer to single-shift operation.
• Maintenance and cleaning work may only be carried out by qualified personnel (in Germany see

8.1 Weekly

The parts of of the ABIDRIVE CW listed below are subject to wear and soiling. This is why these parts must
be subjected to weekly maintenance and cleaning.
Oil all mobile parts and roller bearings with suitable lubricating oil.

8.2 Daily

Check the toothed wheels for abrasion and damage.
