Leading the seatbelt into the child safety seat for Group I
4.2 Leading the vehicle's seatbelt into the child safety seat
for Group I (for children in weight category 9-18 kg)
WARNING! NEVER PULL THE VEHICLE SEAT BELT THROUGH
OTHER PLACES THAN THOSE DEPICTED IN THIS OWNER'S MANUAL:
CHILD SAFETY COULD BE THREATENED!
WARNING! These instructions, as far as the text and images,
for installation of child safety seat applies to left back seat However, to install the child safety
seat to other seats the same steps must be taken. Places to pull through the belts on the child
safety seat are marked red.
Place the child safety seat facing forward in the driving (Fig. 23) .
WARNING! Make sure that the headrest is not preventing the child safety seat from performing its function:
Can't push it forward.
Pull slightly on the seatbelt of vehicle seat and lead the belt buckle into the front side opening
in the seat cover (Fig. 23). Afterwards pull the seat belt over the back of the child safety seat and pull
it out through the side opening in the child safety seat cover (Fig.24). In the end lock the buckle into the
socket to a position, where you will hear a clear clicking sound (Fig. 25).
Make sure that the vehicle's seat belt is pulled through the socket of the red lead at the top edge
of the child safety seat, and that the Red Waist Belt Guide is not twisted. After seating the child safety seat
pull the vehicle's seat belts in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 26).
Pull on the child safety seat's harness straps to the maximum possible position and open the
central safety child safety seat's harness buckle. After this place your child in the child safety seat and
secure it using the –point safety system of the child safety seat's harness system and connect the ends of
the straps to the central buckle until you hear their clicking sound (figure no.27).
Watch how your child feels and according to his reaction set the appropriate level of harness
tightness by pulling the regulation strap and setting the headrest to proper height (figure no. 28).
NOTICE! • Always make sure that the seat belt is equally laid out at all points and
not twisted • NEVER pull the vehicle's belt outside of the stated places.
Leading the vehicle's seatbelt into the child safety seat for Groups II/III
4.3 Leading the vehicle's seatbelt into the child safety seat for Groups II/III (for children in weight
category 15-36 kg)
Before installation remove vehicle's seatbelts (Fig. 29).
Note: Additional upholstery, belts, central buckle, belt padding and upholstery of the buckle pads
should be stored in a safe place to have them available for later use (see. chapter 5.1: disconnecting
the 5-point safety harness system and removing the cover).
Notice: Do not use any other places to lead the belts other than those stated in the owner's manual
of the given child safety seat, and which are also designated on the child safety seat.
Vehicle seatbelt must be lead according to the instructions stated below.
Set the headrest height according to child's size (Fig. 30).
Lead the shoulder harness through the shoulder harness guide under the headrest (Fig. 31).
Place your child in the child safety seat and lead the seatbelt over the Red Waist Belt Guide. Fixate
the vehicle seatbelt and by leading it into the buckle socket until you hear a confirming click in the buckle
that signifies a lock (Fig. 32).
Make sure that the lap belt is stretched to the maximum bottom height of the child's hips, that it leads
through all guide elements and that it is locked in to the belt buckle.
Shoulder harness must go through the center of the child's shoulder between its neck and shoulder edge
(Fig. 33).
NOTICE! • Always make sure that the seat belt is equally laid out at all points and
not twisted Make sure that the diagonal belt is properly set against the child's shoulder and is not rubbing
against its neck; adjust the height of headrest if needed. • Make sure that the self-winding mechanism of
the vehicle's seatbelt is not in the back position against the vehicle's seat's backrest.
