9• If the base is already attached in the vehicle, ensure that its
Isofix attachments are extended to their maximum length.
1 0• Remove the protective base attached to the car seat with
the special release switches (Arrows A and B).
1 1• Position the car seat on the Isofix Base 0+1 and secure the
rear connectors of the car seat to the attachment points
of the base nearest to the vehicle seat (Arrow A). Press the
front part of the car seat until it clicks into place (Arrow B).
1 • IMPORTANT: The two signals behind the Isofix Base go
from red to green to indicate that the car seat is properly
attached to the base.
1 3• Pull the handle on the base (Arrow A) and push the base
with the car seat against the vehicle's seat until they can go
no further (Arrow B).
IMPORTANT: It is possible to check that the Isofix base
is correctly positioned by looking at the signals on the
handle. OK (green) indicates that the position is correct,
NO (red) indicates that the procedure has been carried out
incorrectly and must be repeated until the handle only
shows the term "OK".
IMPORTANT: Once the procedure is complete, move
the base to check that both Isofix points are actually
attached.
How to put the child in the Viaggio1
Duo-Fix car seat
1 4• Before placing the child in the car seat, release the safety
straps by pressing the red button on the leg divider strap
buckle.
1 5• Raise the safety straps, slipping the buckles into the elastic
straps on the side.
1 6• Put the child in place and position the straps on his/her
shoulders and waist, as shown in the figure.
1 7• Fasten the safety harness by putting the two shoulder strap
buckles on top of each other and inserting them in the buckle
of the leg divider strap, ensuring that they click into place.
1 8• The figure shows the child in the correct position with a
properly fastened safety harness.
1 9• To complete the procedure, tighten the safety harness on
the child and pull the central adjustment strap towards you

as shown in the figure, ensuring that the harness is not too
tight.
IMPORTANT: Leave a minimal amount of play (the
width of a finger between the harness and the child's
chest).
 0• To slacken the harness straps, press the button in the
centre of the car seat and simultaneously pull the straps
towards you.
IMPORTANT: take hold of the safety harness under
the shoulder pads and pull it, as shown in the figure.
• The car seat comes with a booster cushion. It should
only be used when the child is very small and when the
shoulder straps are at the first level. When the child is
bigger it is necessary to remove it.
 1• To remove the booster cushion, it is necessary to pull it off
the straps at the top and on the sides.
How to adjust the height of the shoulder
straps
As the child grows, it is necessary to adjust the height of
the shoulder straps in line with that of the child.
It is possible to adjust the shoulder straps to 4 different
heights.
To change the height it is necessary to:
 • Release the straps from the rear clip (fig. a).
 3• Tilt the tabs of the shoulder strap padding on the rear of
the shell to make it easier to release them (fig. b). Pull the
shoulder strap padding and the shoulder straps out of the
holes from the front (fig. c).
 4• Reposition the straps in the most suitable hole for the
height of the child, as in the figure (fig. d).
 5• To correctly complete the shoulder strap height
adjustment, also secure the shoulder strap padding slide
buckles by inserting them from the front.
 6• When the straps are positioned correctly, the child's
shoulders will be just below the point where the straps pass.
 7• IMPORTANT: The straps must not be too high or too
low with respect to the child's shoulders.
 8• The Viaggio1 Duo-Fix car seat can be inclined in 4 different
positions, both when it is attached to the base and when
it is attached to the Isofix Base 0+1. To incline the car seat,
