shall be a minimum of 4.5 mm
terminated to the grounding stud inside the harsh enclosure or the lower left screw
on the rear of the panel enclosure. Each point is labeled with a yellow and green
ground symbol.
The European certification to the ATEX directive requires that all glands and plugs
on the harsh enclosure IND560xx be ATEX-certified increased safety glands and
plugs when the terminal is installed into a Zone 2 or Zone 22 area. The glands and
plugs on the standard IND560 are NOT ATEX certified for increased safety. For
ATEX certified approval, different models that include the approved glands and
plugs must be ordered.
The ATEX certified version of the IND560xx harsh terminal will be shipped with
ATEX certified plugs installed in all option gland locations. A bag of ATEX glands is
included with each unit and the glands must be installed during terminal
installation based on the connections used. Only glands that will be used should
be installed.
Figure 2-2 shows an example of an ATEX-certified increased safety "e" plug and
gland with the safety approval printed on them.

The ATEX glands should be installed in the locations shown in Figure 2-3 and
torqued to the specs shown in Table 2-1.
