6. Operation

Regardless of the charging state of the battery, the beard trimmer can always be used
in mains operation.
1. Before switching to mains operation, ensure that the device is switched off.
2. Connect the power adapter 6 to the connection 5 at the device.
3. Plug the power adapter 6 into an easily accessible wall socket, the voltage of
which corresponds to the rating plate.
4. Switch on the device with the on/off switch 3.

6.1 Transport lock

If the transport lock is activated, the LED 4 flashes white for a few seconds:
- when switching the function on and off
- if the on/off switch 3 is briefly pressed with the transport lock active.
• Press and hold the on/off switch 3 for approx. 3 seconds, in order to switch the
transport lock on/off. The LED 4 flashes white for a few seconds.
• Connecting the power adapter 6 deactivates the transport lock, which cannot be
activated during mains operation.

6.2 Changing the blade attachments

WARNING! Risk of injury!
Switch off the beard trimmer, before you push on or remove the comb attach-
ments 1.
If the cutting performance decreases and cleaning does not improve it, the blade at-
tachment 2 must be replaced. Depending on the frequency of use, a blade attachment
lasts for up to a year. A replacement blade attachment is provided with this product.
