than 3 seconds.
- If the car or boat does not start, wait until the starter
has charged completely (Green 14V LED ON), without
disconnecting the clamps from the battery, and try starting
the engine again.
After a successful start, with the engine running, follow the
sequence of instructions below with great care:
- Disconnect the black clamp (negative) from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the red clamp (positive) from the vehicle.
- Always store in a safe, dry place.
The starter does not need charging before storing it away.
4.2. Pre-charging methods
Sometimes, the vehicle battery is so low that it is unable to charge
the starter completely and the red "FAULT" LED comes on (fig.
A-5).
In this case the starter must be charged using:
a. another car battery: connect the clamps to the battery poles and
press the "ON/OFF" button in figure A-3;
b. the 12V cigarette lighter socket of another vehicle;
c. a 5V / 2A mini USB port (fig. A-8);
NB: the charging times depend on the system used and vary from
about one minute in case a- up to about twenty minutes in case
c- which is the slowest.
4.3 Using the starter WITHOUT the vehicle battery (BYPASS
MODE figure B):
If the vehicle low battery charge system fails, it is always possible to
use a pre-charge method, as described in the previous paragraph,
following the exact sequence below:
- disconnect the positive terminal from the battery;
- connect the starter as seen in figure B-1;
- press and hold the "ON/OFF" button (fig. A-3);
- the green LED in fig. A-5 comes on;
- start the engine;
- connect the positive terminal to the battery together with the
starter positive clamp (fig. B-2);
- only remove the starter clamps after tightening the battery
terminals.

WARNING:
Never leave the engine running without firmly
fastening the battery connections.
In this way, the clamps remain energised for a few minutes:
press the OFF button as soon as the operation has been
completed, do not short-circuit the clamps, do not invert the
polarity.
4.4 Using the "GLOW" function
Diesel engines activate the "glow" function
combustion chambers to help ignition in cold weather conditions;
if the vehicle battery is too low, the engine chambers may not be
warmed up sufficiently. In such a situation, when the starter is
completely charged, press the "GLOW" button (fig. A-4), the LED
in fig. A-5 comes on alternating between red and green. Start the
dashboard using the ignition key and wait for 4-6 seconds before
completing ignition with the key.
5. DISPOSAL
The user is obliged to dispose of this equipment as mixed municipal
solid waste, contacting an authorised collection centre. Contact the
local solid waste authority for information on recycling.

Do not burn the battery to dispose of it. This could cause an
explosion.
