ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO DEL KIT PER CARBURATORE (CODICE 8000
A5971) SUI MOTOCICLI "WR 250" (SOLO PER USO AGONISTICO,

Procedere nel modo seguente:
Togliere la sella, porre il rubinetto carburante in posizione OFF e sfilare
la tubazione benzina dal carburatore. Rimuovere il serbatoio carburante
e togliere sul lato destro il serbatoio fluido freno posteriore. Togliere la
fascetta che blocca sul trave superiore del telaio i cavi comando
carburatore. Allentare le fascette che fissano il carburatore alla scatola
filtro ed al cilindro. Mettere una bacinella sotto il carburatore, rimuovere le
due viti (1), il coperchio (2) ed il gruppo valvola gas. Per eliminare il
carburante, ruotare il carburatore e togliere il tappo inferiore (3) (chiave da
17 mm) della vaschetta (5) . Rimuovere le viti (4) e la vaschetta (5). A
questo punto è possibile effettuare le seguenti operazioni di sostituzio-
ne:
A) LATO INFERIORE DEL CARBURATORE
Sostituire il getto del minimo (6) (da #15 a #35).
B) LATO SUPERIORE DEL CARBURATORE
Rimuovere il distanziale (7). Sostituire lo spillo conico (8) (da 6DJ8-61 a
6DJ8-60), e fissarlo alla 3a tacca. Ruotare la vite titolo miscela (9) di 1
giro e 1/2 anzichè 3 giri.
Rimontare le parti precedentemente rimosse operando inversamente
rispetto allo smontaggio.
C) Rimuovere il dispositivo aria secondaria (10) (*) e sostituire il tubo di
scarico con quello in dotazione.

Proceed as follows:
Remove the seat, place the fuel tap on the OFF position then detach the
fuel hose from the carburetor. Remove the fuel tank and, on R.H. side,
the rear brake fluid tank. Remove the clamp that fastens the carburetor
control cables on the upper beam of the frame. Loosen the carburetor
fastening clamps on air filter box and cylinder. Place a vessel under the
carburetor, remove the screws (1), the cover (2) and the throttle valve
assembly. In order to drain the fuel, rotate the carburetor and remove the
lower plug (3) (use a 17 mm wrench) of the float chamber (5). Remove
the screws (4) and the float chamber (5). Now it is possible to operate
as follows:
A) CARBURETOR LOWER SIDE
Replace the idle jet (6) (from #15 to #35).
B) CARBURETOR UPPER SIDE
Remove the spacer (7). Replace the metering pin (8) (from 6DJ8-61 to
6DJ8-60), then lock it at the 3rd notch. Adjust the mixture screw (9) (1+1/
2 turns instead of 3 turns).
Reassemble the previously removed parts in the reverse order that was
shown for disassembly.
C) Remove the secondary air valve hose (10) (*) and replace the exhaust
pipe with the one that is supplied with the kit.
