To change the number of measurements you want to take for calculating the arithmetic average of the measured values, press
either keys until you reach desired number (1 up to 5).

First, select the digit you want to change using both keys . Next press desired digit from those appearing at the bottom
of the window The digit that comes right next after your selection will be automatically activated.
Once the specimen value is correctly set (e.g. 2,970 µm), confirm and quit by pressing
Secondly, position the probe stylus as for a normal measurement cycle using the key Note that the chosen cut-off
length must necessarily be matching the one written on the specimen.
Finally, press Start to let a measurement be taken. The probe advance will be shown graphically throughout the routine.
Carry on in this way until all predefined measurements are performed.
During calibration, the status line Measure. done keeps you informed about the number of measurements that have been
taken while the mean roughness Ra appears in the table.
To cancel last measurement, press the key
To confirm your calibration once the routine is completed, press

It is recommended to check your gauge unit regularly, but not to use the specimen longer than necessary so as to prevent
the probe stylus from scraping its surface as this could result to incorrect roughness values.
