"Personal safety"

• Make yourself familiar with the equipment before using it,

by reading and understanding the operating instructions.

Insufficiently informed operators may put at risk their own

and the health of other persons.

• Within the working area of the machine the operator is

responsible for third parties.

• The operator is responsible for accidents or hazards which

occur to other persons or their properties.

• Children must be supervised to make sure that they do not

play with the device.

• Adhere to national regulations that might specify an age

limit for the user of the unit.

"Power tool use and care"

• Do not modify the device or parts of the device respectively.

• After a longer period of use, accessible metallic parts and

accessories may be hot.

• Switch off the device, wait until the cutting device has

stopped and remove the battery:

− the cutting tool comes into contact with soil, stones,

nails or other foreign objects (

cutting tool/machine is damaged)

− Carrying out repair work.

− Performing maintenance and cleaning work.

− Removal of faults (including blocking of knives).

− transporting or storing

− Leaving the product (even in case of short-term

interruptions)

 Maintain your hedge shears with care:

− Keep the tools sharp and clean to facilitate better and

faster working

− Keep handles dry and free of oil, resin and grease.

− Follow the maintenance instructions.

• Check the machine for possible damage:

− Before further use of the machine the safety devices

must be checked carefully for their proper and intended

function. Only operate the machine with complete and

correctly attached safety equipment and do not alter

anything on the machine that could impair the safety.

− Check whether movable parts function perfectly and do

not stick or whether parts are damaged. All parts must

be correctly installed and fulfil all conditions to ensure

perfect operation of the machine.

− Damaged safety devices and parts must be properly

repaired or exchanged by a recognized, specialist

workshop; insofar as nothing else is stated in the

instructions for use.

− Damaged or illegible safety labels have to be replaced.

Do not carry out repair operations on the machine

other than those described in section "Maintenance"

but contact the manufacturer or authorized customer

service centres.

Use only original spare parts and accessories.

Accidents can arise for the user through the use of

other spare parts. The manufacturer is not liable for

any damage or injury resulting from such action.

"Hedge trimmer safety warnings"

• Do not use the machine for unsuitable purposes (see

'Normal intended use').

• Stop using the machine when moving the working area.

• Always hold the hedge trimmer with both hands - one hand

on the front handle and the other on the rear handle.

• Make sure that you can step back safely without

hindrances.

• Before trimming, remove all foreign objects (e.g. stones,

branches, wires, etc.). While working watch out for further

foreign objects.

• Be sure that the cutting tool already moves before you start

cutting.

• Caution! The cutting tool stops delayed after the machine

is switched off. Do not try to slow down the cutting tool by

the hand.


