Safety
1.1 Intended use
The commutator motors are used to drive barrel pumps for fast, safe emptying or
transferring of containers and barrels in a potentially explosive environment. They have
been tested and approved in accordance with the Explosion Protection Directive 94/9/EC
ATEX 95.

Risk of injury due to open drive shaft.
Never operate motors without pump.
Never leave the pump unattended.
Position the pump to prevent it from falling into the container.
Only operate the pump with a suitable hose.
Secure the hose from sliding off the hose connector.
The pump should not be immersed deeper into the liquid than
the outlet connection.
Use hearing protection.
Protect motors without a no-volt release against accidental starting.
The motor automatically restarts after a power failure.
We recommend providing the power supply in damp locations with fault
current breakers.
Dirt, high humidity or material damage to the motor housing may lead to
dangerous electric shocks.
Check the mains connection cable for damage before every use.
Changes to the mains connection may only be carried out by qualified
electricians.
