To replace the sanding plate cover proceed as fol-
lows:
Hold the sanding plate cover in one hand and with the
other, using an Allen key (supplied), loosen the centring
bolt in a clockwise direction (only 1/8 rotation!).
Use the Allen key to prevent the centring bolt from
turning and undo the sanding plate anti-clockwise.
Then press the sanding plate cover against the spring
and use snap-ring pliers to remove the circlip which
connects the sanding plate cover to the bracket.
Finally, loosen the vacuum hose carefully and then
remove the sanding plate cover.
Replacement is conducted in reverse sequence.
Don't forget the spring. All repairs should only be
conducted by an authorised service centre.
NOTE: Only use hook-and-loop sanding
discs that are suitable for the "Spider"
wall and ceiling sander.
Attaching the Suction Hose with Bayonet Connec-
tor
1. Unplug the sander.
2. Connect the bayonet connector of the suction
hose to the connection port under the sander's
handle. Once the tangs of the bayonet connector
have reached the end of the slots, hold the swivel
connector and turn the bayonet connector of the
hose to the right.
3. To disassemble, follow the assembly instructions
in reverse order.
Vacuum Cleaner
Use a suitable vacuum cleaner for
sanding tasks.
WARNING: Failure to use the device
without a vacuum cleaner will increa-
se the level of airborne dust at the

workplace. Prolonged exposure to such
dust may damage your respiratory system. Always
wear a suitable and approved dust mask while doing
sanding work.
