Carrying out a short-circuit check:
1. Set the rotary switch of the Master Unit to "Fault".
2. If there is no short-circuit in the system section, the LED "Operation/Fault" of the Master Unit shows red.
3. If there is a short-circuit, the LED "Operation/Fault" blinks red.
4. After having finished the short-circuit check, set the rotary switch to "Operation" again, the LED "Operation/Fault"
shows green.
5. If there is an error, control the system and repeat the short-circuit check.
Note: The LED "Status" has no function during the short-circuit check and remains extinguished.
Use of the system and addressing
During the addressing function (receiver login) the receiver gets an identification number (address) with which the
receiver is registered in the UFO
The address management controls the usage rights of the subscribers.
Once the UFO
®
micro system has been installed, a receiver can log in without any further restrictions, provided that
converters are available (one receiver requires one converter, one EXU 544 features 4 converters).
This applies to all configurations with 4, 8 and 12 receivers.
If the system section is completely booked with the specified number of receivers, a receiver may still be logged in under
certain conditions:
The surplus receiver(s) is (are) logged in with lower priority than the receivers already logged in.
The availability of a converter is not guaranteed.
When a receiver with higher priority is switched off, another receiver with lower priority can be logged in and operated.
As soon as the receiver with higher priority is switched on again, the receiver with lower priority loses its authorisation.
This means that its address is set to invalid the next time the system is switched on. This receiver can be logged in
again only after resetting the receiver in the UFO
If a receiver with higher priority is removed from the UFO
system was fully occupied, succeeds.
