Initiation
UFO ® micro systems can be set up with only
one or several single-cable matrices EXU 544.
Configuration takes place on starting up the
system.
First installation of the system:
Finish the mounting and cabling of the sy-
stem with the following exceptions (see in-
stallation examples pages 10, 11 and 12):
– The output " OUT" of the Master Unit
EXU 544 is not yet connected to the
section line of the system
(distribution network)
– All EXU 544 are still not connected to
mains supply 230 V
Effecting the RESET on EXU 544:
1. Connect the Slave Units (if there are any)
to the mains
2. Connect Master Unit to the mains
3. All LEDs "Operation/Fault" show green
light, all "Status LEDs" are extinguished
4. Switch the rotating switch of the Master
Unit to "Reset". The LED
"Operation/Fault" of the Master Unit
switches to red. The "Status" LED is not
illuminated.
5. Disconnect again the Master Unit from the
mains and wait for about 10 sec.
6. Connect again the Master Unit to the mains.
7. All LEDs "Operation/Fault" show red light, all "Status" LEDs are illuminated.
8. Switch the rotary switch of the Master Unit back to "Operation".
9. The "Status" LED of the Master Unit flashes, the "Status" LEDs of the Slave Units (if there are any) will extinguish
one after the other. The LEDs "Operation/Fault" of all units show green light.
10. After all "Status" LEDs are extinguished, connect the RF cable for the system section to the RF output " OUT".
From now on, the receivers can be registered:
Carry out the registration of the receivers in conformity with the instruction manual. The necessary information for
UFO ® micro is found in the section "Basic settings" or "Installation of UFO
Advice: 1. Connect the receiver to the TV set, but do not yet connect it to the ESU 31/ESU 32
2. Carry out a UFO
3. Switch the receiver to stand-by mode
4. Now connect the receiver to the ESU 31/ESU 32
5. Turn on the receiver
6. Carry out a UFO
Note: On mixed operation of the matrices EXU 544 with Order no. 273443 and Order no. 273433, the matrix with
Order no. 273433 must be used as Slave unit. The functions described in these instructions can only be performed if the
Master Unit complies with the status mentioned above (Order no. 273443).
Short-circuit check
The short-circuit check allows ( after installation of the system or in case of fault), the checking of the connected system
section for short-circuits (R
(ESU 32 outlets switch off automatically in case of short-circuits).
Note: Standard operation of the system is not possible during the short-circuit check!
