INSTALLATION
b) Apply marine sealant to the space around the cable and the threads of the four screws to prevent water
from seeping into the transom.
c) Push the cover over the cable and screw it in place. Position the two cable clamps and fasten them in
place .
Warning! Never shorten the cable between the transducer and the amplifier box; that will change the
impedance of the cable and void the warranty.
4. Route the cable to the amplifier box. To reduce electrical interference, separate the transducer cable from
other electrical wiring and sources of noise. To prevent damage, coil any excess cable and secure it in place
with tie-wraps.
5. Refer to figure 5 to connect the transducer to the instrument.
2.6 Checking for Leaks
Caution! When the boat is placed in the water, immediately check for leaks around the screws and any holes
drilled in the hull. Never install a transducer and leave the boat in the water unchecked for several days.
