OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before putting into operation

First remove the protective foil from the ironing surface! The iron has to be used and set on a stable
surface.
When ironing for the first time heat up the iron without water to the highest level. During this a light
smoke and odour may come out of the iron which will however soon disappear. Then you may fi ll the
water tank. Allow the iron after being fi lled and heated to create steam for at least 1 minute and during
this press the steam burst button several times, to remove potential remains from the manufacturing
process. Before first use on your laundry we recommend that you test the iron on some ordinary cloth,
or wipe.

Filling the water tank

Before filling the water tank pull out the power cord plug from the power socket!
Hold the iron in a tilted position and fi ll with water up to the max. level mark.
Use only water from the water tap. The use of distilled and demineralised water lowers the effi ciency of
the decalcifi cation system by changing the physical-chemical properties. Use the container enclosed with
the product for filling it with water. The iron may not be filled with water directly from the tap!

Setting temperature

First sort the laundry that you wish to iron according to the international symbols on the tags of the
laundry. If these are missing, sort the laundry according to the fabric type.
