3.3 Installation instructions

The heater is installed directly on the SMB or BGS special tap. We guarantee trouble-free oper-
ation of the instantaneous water heater only if CLAGE fittings and accessories are used. Note
the following during installation:
• Installation must comply with DIN VDE 0100 and DIN 1988 or EN 806-2 and with the stat-
utory regulations of the country and the provisions of the local electricity and water supply
company.
• Check the technical data and information on the rating plate.
• Easy access to the instantaneous water heater must be guaranteed at all times for mainte-
nance purposes. An separate shut-off valve must be installed.
• Only use the appliance with an open-outlet tap.
• Ensure that all accessories are removed from the packaging.
• The water pipe must be securely embedded in the wall and it must be stable.

3.4 Water connection

3.4.1 Water connection with SMB tap

1. Place the metal wall bracket in a central position above the water connection as per the ins-
tallation template. The metal wall bracket allows the appliance to be installed at a variable
distance from the wall (up to approx. 15 mm from the wall).
