Failure to do so will result in an error condition. Press Clear to clear the error
message ( the system may take a little time to respond ). Ensure the printer is
ready and retry.
PROTECT METHODS
To turn on Protect Methods, highlight it in the menu and press ENTER. This
brings up the text entry page for the password to be entered.
The default password is "ADMIN". Note that the password is case sensitive, and
in this password all letters are upper case.
When the correct password has been entered, press ACCEPT to return to the
Environment Page. Protect Methods will now be ON. To return to OFF select and
enter password as above.

CHANGE PASSWORD

It is strongly recommended that a new password is entered as soon as possible.
Note that passwords are case sensitive.
To change the password, select Change Password to bring up the Text Entry
Page, enter the existing password and press ACCEPT. The message ENTER NEW
PASSWORD appears at the bottom of the Text Entry Screen. Delete the old
password by pressing the CLEAR key, or using the right hand function key to
delete one character at a time, and enter the new one. Press ACCEPT when
finished. You will then be prompted to enter the new password a second time
for verification. When this has been done correctly the system returns to the
Environment Page with the password changed.
An error at any stage in this procedure will result in the system returning to the
Environment Page with the old password unchanged.
