Step 3: Measurement of the static resistance of the duct system by measuring the pressure differential between
the supply air and outside air, and between the extract air and outgoing air directly after the connecting
parts of the ventilation unit (Fig.2).

TIP
All ventilation valves in the duct system must be completely opened!
(Supply air poppet valve min. 10 turns, extract air poppet valve min. 12 turns)
Step 4: The measured pressure loss (e.g. between extract air and outgoing air) is the static unit resistance and is
entered in the corresponding diagram (extract air in this case) on the set fan performance curve. The
actual volume flow is read out (Fig.3).
