The volume at which an external audio source
is played can differ from the volume of the
device-specifi c audio sources (radio, CD, MP3/
WMA). To compensate for this difference, you
can adjust the level of the external audio
sources.

Tandem mode

In tandem mode, the device is operated
together with a CCA control panel. In the
process, you can use the device to control the
playback of audio sources in the cockpit of the
bus and use the control panel to control the
playback of audio and video sources in the
cabin area. The control panel is connected via
the tandem output of the device (socket C1).
The control panel can use the device as
independent audio source for radio and CD
playback. The tandem mode must be activated
in the menu for this purpose. In tandem mode,
you can play any audio source with the device
in the cockpit, while using the control panel to
use the radio and CD drive of the device as
audio source for the cabin area.
Note:
In tandem mode, a CD in the device
or in a connected CD changer
continues to be scanned, even if the
device is neither in CD nor MP3/WMA
nor CD changer mode. Hence, this
CD can be played via the CCA control
panel in the cabin area.
