Radio mode

This device is equipped with an RDS radio
receiver. Many of the FM stations transmit a
signal that contains the program as well as
information such as the station name. The
station name appears on the display as soon as
the tuner receives it.

Adjusting the tuner

To ensure proper functioning of the tuner, the
device must be set for the region in which it is
being operated. You can select between
"EUROPE" and "NAFTA" (North America/
Mexico). The tuner is factory set to the region
"EUROPE". If you experience problems with
your radio reception, please check this setting.

Convenient RDS functions
(AF, REG)
The convenient RDS functions AF (Alternative
Frequency) and REGIONAL extend your radio's
range of functions.
Ñ
AF: The device automatically tunes to the
best receivable frequency of the selected
station.
Ñ
REGIONAL: At certain times, some radio
stations divide their programme into
regional programmes providing different
content. You can use the REG function to
prevent the car radio from switching to
alternative frequencies that are transmit-
ting different programme content.
