Adjusting the volume

Adjusting the volume
You can adjust the volume in increments from
0 (mute) to 66 (maximum).
To increase the volume,
turn the volume control 2 clockwise.

To decrease the volume,
turn the volume control 2 counterclock-

wise.

Power-on volume

The device switches on with the volume you
listened to before the switch-off.
Note:
The maximum power-on volume is
45, even if the volume was higher
before switch-off. This prevents an
unintentionally and unexpectedly
high volume when switching on the
device.

Mute

The device can be muted.
Briefl y press button 1.
Ñ
"MUTE" appears on the display.
To return to your previously set volume level,
briefl y press button 1 again.

Telephone Audio/Navigation Audio

If your car sound system is connected to a
mobile telephone or a navigation system, the
sound system's volume will be muted as soon
as you "pick up" the phone or a navigation
message arrives. You will then hear the caller
or announcement over the sound system's
loudspeakers.
To adjust the volume of the voice output,

Switching the confi rmation beep
on/off (BEEP)
If you press a button for longer than 2 seconds
for some functions, a confi rmation beep
sounds. You can switch the beep on or off.

until the display shows "MORE" and wait
until "CODE" appears.
Press the buttons BND•TS 3 and TA 5

at the same time.

until "BEEP ON" or "BEEP OFF" appears
on the display.

Switch the BEEP ON or OFF with the
button 6.
To exit the menu,
Ñ press the MENU button 7.

Microphone mode

You can connect 2 microphone to the device.
Microphone 1 is available to the driver,
microphone 2 can be used by the travel guide.
Note:
If you operate the device in combina-
tion with a CCA control panel, the
microphones are connected to the
control panel.
Starting microphone mode
Ñ
Switch on one of the microphones.
The microphone announcement is played back
via the radio loudspeakers.
