COSYPOLO PATIO HEATER - Assembly and operating instructions
VII.
Important instructions on safety
Note: Use the heater only outside or in well ventilated rooms!
1. The heater must always be kept under supervision when being used.
2. The heater must be connected in accordance with the valid and applicable regulations.
3. The heater may not be erected in rooms in which people live, in a cellar, in an office or in any other similar rooms.
4. The heater may be used only for the purpose of providing warmth.
5. The heater is to be placed on a surface which is as horizontal, level and firm as possible. It may not be operated when it is
on its transport rollers since then there is the danger of it rolling away or tipping over if the surface is uneven.
6. Protect liquefied gas cylinders from strong sunshine.
7. If the heater is to be used in an enclosed space (e.g. roofed-over terrace, beer tent or similar), then this space must have a
volume of at least 20 m3 for each kW of the installed, nominal heat output of the heater and must be well ventilated..
8. When the heater is being operated, inflammable materials and substances must be kept a safe distance away from it. The
distance in the direction of radiation between the radiating surface of the heater and any inflammable material may not be
less than 2 m. The distance between other parts of the heater and any inflammable material may not be less than 1 m.

9.
Check the presence and proper state (no damage) of the seals on the cylinder valve (also each time when changing the
gas cylinder). Do not use any additional seals.
10. The heater may only be operated when there is a pressure regulating valve with a permissible output pressure in circuit
between the heater and the gas cylinder (see plate on heater and works setting).
11. After assembling the heater, check all connection points for tightness. Use a foam-forming substance (Enders gas control
spray article No. 1196) for this. Checking for tightness with an open flame is strictly prohibited!
12. Repairs and maintenance to parts of the heater carrying the gas may only be carried out by skilled persons authorized to
carry out this work.
13. The shut-off valve on the gas cylinder or, as the case may be, the valve of the pressure regulating valve must always be
closed immediately in the case of a disruption.
14. The heater must always be switched off and the gas cylinder removed from the cylinder housing each time before the
heater is moved to another location.
15. Care must be taken when doing this that the gas hose is not kinked.
16. The hose must be checked once a month for cracks and damage. Should the hose show signs of becoming brittle
or damage of any other type, it must be replaced with a new one of the same length and equivalent quality.
17. The gas hose must be checked by a specialist firm at intervals of 5 years.
18. If damaged, the hose must be replaced by a new one of the same quality and length.
19. Do not cover over the ventilation openings of the housing for the gas cylinder.
20. Never move the heater when it is in operation.
21. Use only the types of gas and types of gas cylinder named by the manufacturer.
22. The gas cylinder must always be in the gas cylinder housing when the heater is being operated.
23. Changing of the liquefied gas cylinder may only be carried out in a well ventilated room and away from open flames
(candles, cigarettes, other devices with open flames, ...).
24. Check that the seal of the pressure regulating valve is correctly mounted and that it can fulfil its function.
25. The heater may not be used in the case of a gas leak being detected. Similarly, if it is in use, the gas supply must be
shut off. In each case the heater must be checked and put in order before it is used again.

Infra-red outdoor heater (suitable for 5 kg or 13 kg G30 / G31 gas cylinders
The radiant heat emitter is at a height of approx. 1.10 m above ground level.
Direct physical contact with the heater is to be prevented by means of suitable measures
(positioning, barriers).
The burner, radiation mesh (protective mesh) and windshield remain very hot for a period
of 5 - 10 minutes after the heater has been switched off.
Do not allow food to come into direct contact with the heat protection plate (not suitable
for food). Ensure that the heat protection plate is not subjected to a temperature of below
0 °C when it is in a moist state since otherwise there is the risk of it fracturing.
