5 Construction and function

5.1. Summary and funktional description
Installed in the return pipe of the solar circuit, the
solar station is designed for the connection of the
storage cylinder and the collector.
The solar station consists of a supply and a return
line.
The supply line consists of an isolating ball valve and
a flanged pipe assembly with integrated check valve.
The return line features an isolating ball valve, a
circulation pump and a flow measuring device.
The safety group featuring a safety valve, a pressure
gauge and a connection for a diaphragm expansion
tank, is installed above the return ball valve.

The circulation pump installed in the return is
especially suitable for use in solar circuits.
The flow measuring device allows a fine setting of the
flow rate. In general, the required flow rate depends
on the number of collectors or the equipment of the
solar plant.
The flow meter can be shut off completely. The solar
pump can be replaced after isolation of the flow meter
and the pump ball valve.
Thermometers are included in the handles of the ball
valves.
