Preparing the Carpet

1. Thoroughly vacuum clean the carpet to be treated with a vacuum cleaner. Use a
brush adapter for this (if possible).
2. If possible, remove all furniture from the carpet. Place a plastic tarp under or around
the legs of large pieces of furniture that can't be moved aside and only remove the
tarp once the carpet is completely dry after cleaning. Otherwise the wet carpet could
damage the legs.
3. Check the carpet's colour-fastness. Dip a piece of white fabric in the enclosed
cleaning solution and carefully rub it on a hidden part of the carpet. If the white fabric
does not discolour, you can clean the carpet with the device. For multicoloured
carpets, test every colour for colour-fastness.

PLEASE NOTE!
■ To stow the device, position the handle in an upright position so that it locks into
place.
■ Do not excessively wet the carpet.

3. Turn the lower hooks of the cable reel (3) downward and
wrap the mains cable around both hooks of the cable reel.
4. Your carpet cleaner is now ready for operation.
1. Hold the fresh water reservoir (6) by the handle and pull up
the unlocking lever (5). The reservoir is released from the
locking mechanism.
2. Remove the fresh water reservoir from the device.
3. Unscrew the ring cap on the bottom of the reservoir and
remove the valve together with the water hose.
4. Fill some carpet cleaner into the reservoir. Please note the
dosing instructions of the carpet cleaner.
5. Fill the fresh water reservoir up to the MAX fi lling line with
warm water (max. 40 °C). Preferably use distilled water to
prevent calcifi cation.
6. Then close the reservoir using the valve and ring cap.
7. Insert the fresh water reservoir into the centre piece (13).
