Abhängig von der Versorgung ist der effektive
Strom am Verbraucher jedoch kleiner. Dies ist
darin begründet, dass der Decoder nur eine soge-
nannte „Halbwellengleichrichtung" macht. Es wird
immer nur eine Polarität der Versorgungsspan-
nung verwendet. Dies gilt sowohl für die Versor-
gung mit Digitalstrom aus dem Gleis, als auch bei
alternativer Versorgung aus einem Trafo (Abb. 6a).
Um die volle Leistungsfähigkeit zu erreichen, empfeh-
len wir die Versorgung aus einem Powermodul, z. B.
Art.-Nr. 5215 (Abb. 6b), oder einem DC-Netzteil.

The actual current available for the load may be
smaller since it depends on the power supply. This
is due to the fact that the decoder only rectifies
one half-wave, e. g. only one polarity of the AC
supply voltage is utilized. This is true for the sup-
ply with digital voltage from the tracks as well as
the power supply by an external transformer (fig.
6a).
In order to assure full performance we recom-
mend installing a power module, e. g. item-No.
5215 (fig. 6b) or a DC power supply.
