With RS485 data buses, it can be necessary to use terminating resistors. These
checks should be made for each installation. Generally, a terminating resistor is
only required at the end of the bus, i.e. on the last unit. In order to do this, a bridge
needs to be set up between terminals 1 and 2 of terminal X2 (see
To operate the bus, you need a controller with a terminating resistor and active
termination (see Fig. below).

The reader connection using the Clock / Data interface has to be done according to
the figure below. The cable length is limited to a maximum of 100 cm.
