Connecting to a Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG decoder or a
digital amplifier
You can connect the device to a Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG decoder or to an amplifier with a
decoder installed. You can also connect the device to a digital amplifier that is not compatible with
Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG.
1. Switch off the devices that you want to connect to each
other.
2. Connect the inputs on the DVD player (OPTICAL OUT)
to the corresponding outputs on the playback device.
Use an optical digital cable (not supplied with the device)
to do this.
No image signal will be transferred in the case of this type
of connection.
3. Switch on the OPTICAL OUT sound output as described
on Page 25.
