Never undertake your own repairs

If the plug, cable or device is damaged pull the plug out of the mains immediately
Do not bring the device into operation if it or the power cables show visible damage or the
device has been dropped
Never try to open and/or repair the device yourself. There is a risk of electric shock. If there is
a defect, please contact MEDION help desk 0870 7270370

Storms

Pull the plug and antenna cable out if you are away for a long period of time or if there is a
storm
.

DVD player

The DVD player is a Class 1 laser product. The device has a safety system that prevents
dangerous laser rays escaping from the device during normal use. In order to avoid eye
injuries never manipulate or damage the device's security system.

Cleaning and maintenance

Only use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Never use water or cleaning solutions that could damage the
surface of the devices.

Batteries and proper treatment

Batteries may contain combustible materials. Misuse may cause battery leakage, heat, explosion
or ignition, bringing about injury or damage to the device. Please observe the following matters
strictly:
• DO NOT CHARGE batteries (except rechargeable batteries).
• DO NOT FORCIBLY DISCHARGE batteries.
• DO NOT SHORT-CIRCUIT batteries.
• DO NOT HEAT or DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE.
• DO NOT DISASSEMBLE or DEFORM batteries. Your hands and fingers may be injured, or the
liquid of the battery may get into your eyes or adhere to your skin. If this happens, rinse with a
large quantity of water immediately and consult a doctor.
• DO NOT expose batteries to strong impact by dropping or throwing the batteries. DO NOT
reverse the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals to avoid short-circuit.
• Do NOT MIX used and new or different types of batteries together.
Your equipment may not operate properly. In addition, the battery exhausted first may be
excessively drained (over-discharged).
• PROMPTLY REMOVE the used batteries from the device.
• Remove the batteries from your device, if it will not be used for a longer period.
• REPLACE ALL BATTERIES with new batteries of the same type at the same time.
• Check whether the contacts in the device and on the batteries are clean and clean them if
necessary, before inserting the batteries.
