General
POOL 20 is an accessory that enables pool heating with
VVM 240 and VVM 300.
POOL 20 contains the following components
1 x Actuator Shuttle valve
1 x Shuttle valve, Ø 22 mm
1 x Panel with terminal block
2 x Tie straps
1 x Heating pipe paste
1 x Aluminium tape
1 x Insulation tape
1 x Temperature sensor with round sleeves
For VVM 240 the CPU card version must be 1.11 or newer
otherwise it must be replaced.
(Part no. 618848)
Function
When the pool temperature has dropped below the set
start temperature (menu 8.4.3) and there is no hot water
demand, VVM 240/300 automatically switches between
pool charging and heating charging as long as the demand
remains.
During pool heating, the shuttle valve (19) changes direc
tion and opens towards pool heat exchanger.
The proportion of pool charging in relation to heat charg
ing is set in menu 8.5.1 and 8.5.2, where pool charging
takes over hot water charging time when there is no hot
water charging demand.
The heat medium flow is adjusted so that the temperature
difference over the pool heat exchanger (14) is 1015 °C.
An external pool circulation pump can be connected but
the pool sensor must be installed in the submerged tube to
achieve the correct temperature even when the circulation
pump is not running. The pump starts at the same time as
the shuttle valve switches to pool and stops when the shut
tle valve switches back.
The shuttle valve that switches between pool and heating
is controlled by relay 3 on the relay card.
If the pool sensor is not connected, the pool heating func
tion deactivates. Only applies to VVM 300.
