e) Inserting the drive rechargeable batteries into the vehicle

Warning!
Do not connect the drive rechargeable batteries to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter,
see section 9. c) and 9. d).
This vehicle is only suitable for two identical LiPo drive rechargeable batteries with 2 cells (rated voltage
7.4 V) or two identical LiPo drive rechargeable batteries with 3 cells (rated voltage 11.1 V).
When using a drive rechargeable battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire resulting from the
speed controller overheating. In addition, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and thus damaged (e.g.
differential). This will void the warranty!
Open the two velcro straps (A).
Now insert the two drive rechargeable batteries so that
the connection cables of the rechargeable batteries are
facing the rear of the speed controller. Otherwise, the
connection cables could compromise functioning of the
steering mechanism.
The rechargeable batteries should be inserted vertically in
the holder, if possible (depending on the design).
Tighten the velcro straps so that the two rechargeable
batteries are securely fastened.

f) Connecting the drive rechargeable batteries to the speed controller

Place the vehicle on a suitable base (or a start box) so that the wheels can move freely. This ensures
that you will not lose control of the vehicle if the wheels move suddenly (e.g. if the throttle trim is not set
correctly).
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
First, switch off the speed controller. The on/off switch
must be set to the "OFF" position.
Then power up the transmitter, as described in chapter 9.
c) and 9. d). Be sure to set the trimming for the steering
and driving functions to the middle position.
Now, connect the two fully charged drive rechargeable
batteries to the speed controller. Ensure you insert them
with the correct polarity. Do not use force when connecting
the rechargeable battery plugs to the speed controller.
Make sure that the cable cannot get into the vehicle's drive or into the steering mechanism. If necessary, use cable
ties to fasten the cables.
There may be a cracking sound (and a spark in the plug) when connecting the second rechargeable
battery. Here, the input capacitors of the speed controller are charged. This is normal and does not affect
the speed controller or the drive rechargeable batteries. Optional accessories include the "anti-spark"
rechargeable battery contacts that prevent sparking.
