Under optimum conditions, the service life of the activated-carbon
filter cartridge amounts to 2000/3500 hours. However, besides the
temperature and operating pressure/volume flow, the exact life
expectancy and dimensioning depends on the employed oil, the
design of the compressor and the compressed-air humidity. Incre-
asing the volume flow which is possible, for example, at a higher
operating pressure, will lead to a reduction in the service life. An
increase in the relative humidity to over 30 % will also reduce the
service life. Therefore, you should benefit from the competence of
our specialist departments for the design of the activated-carbon
filter cartridges.
