bandes ist bei den verschiedenen Typen wie
folgt zu prüfen:
4000 Report-L
Der Kopfspalt des Löschkopfes muß 0,4 mm
über die Tonbandoberkante herausragen.
4200 Report Stereo
Die Kopfspalte des Löschkopfes müssen gleich
weit von der Oberkante und der Unterkante des
Tonbandes entfernt sein.
4400 Report Stereo
Die Oberkante des Kopfspaltes vom Löschkopf
und die Oberkante des Tonbandes müssen auf
gleicher Höhe sein.
2.62 Einstellen (siehe Abb. 10)
Durch Drehen der Schlitzmuttern (A) und (B)
sowie der Schraube (C) können die Band-
führungselemente in ihrer Höhe verstellt wer-
den. Als Bezugspunkt für die richtige Höhe der
Bandführung dient der Löschkopf.
27 Tonkopf
Die Einstellung des Tonkopfes wird erfor-
derlich, wenn der Tonkopf verstellt oder aus-
getauscht worden ist. (Tonkopf nach der
Montage entmagnetisieren.)
2.71 Prüfen der Höhenverstellung
Die Stirnfläche des Tonkopfes muß parallel im
Tonband stehen. Die verschiedenen Typen sind
wie folgt zu prüfen.
4000 Report-L
Der Kopfspalt des Tonkopfes muß 0,3 mm über
die obere Tonbandkante herausragen. Die
Prüfung ist mit dem UHER-ZweispurMono-
Justierband gemäß der dem Justierband
beiliegenden Anweisung vorzunehmen.
4200 Report Stereo
Der obere und untere Kopfspalt des Tonkopfes
muß gleich weit von den Tonbandkanten
entfernt sein. Die Prüfung ist mit dem UHER-
Zweispur-Stereo-Justierband gemäß der dem
Justierband
beiliegenden
vorzunehmen.
4400 Report Stereo
Der obere Kopfspalt des Tonkopfes muß mit
der oberen Tonbandkante abschließen. Die
Prüfung ist mit dem UHER-Vierspur-Justierband
gemäß der dem Justierband beiliegenden
Anweisung vorzunehmen.

erase head of the model 4000 Report L must
surmount the upper edge of the tape by 0.4 mm
(approx. 0.016").
The erase head gaps of the 4200 model must
come at an equal distance from the upper and
lower edges of the tape.
The upper edge of the erase head gap of the
4400 model and the upper edge of the tape
must come at the same height.
2.62 Adjustment (säe Fig. 10)
Vertical adjustment of the tape guides is
achieved by turning the siotted nuts (A) and (B)
and the screw (C). The erase head, which is
not vertically adjustabie, serves as the point of
reference for the vertical adjustment of the tape
guides.

Alignment of the sound head will be necessary
when the alignment has been disturbed or the
sound head has been replaced (after being
installed,
the
demagnetized).
2.71 Checking the Vertical Alignment
The face of the soundhead must come parallel
with the tope and the head gap of the
soundhead must come perpendicular with the
edges of the tape.
Model 4000 Report L
The gap of the sound head must surmount the
upper edge of the tope by 0.3 mm (approx.
0.012"). For this check use the UHER Head
Alignment
Tape
instructions supplied with it.
Models 4200/4400 Report Stereo
The upper and Power head gap of the 4200
model must come at an equal distance from the

The soundhead gap of the 4400 model must
come flush with the upper edge of the tape.
This adjustment may be checked with the
UHER two-track or UHER four-track alignment
tape as described in the instructions attached
to the alignment tape.

Le reglage en hauteur des organes du guide-
bande s'effectue au moyen des ecrous fendus
(A), (B) et de la vis (C). La täte d'effacement á
hauteur invariable sert alors de reference.
2.7 Täte magnetique

La face frontale de la täte enregistrement/

contröle s'opäre á I'aide de la bande d'ajustage

UHER et conformement aux instructions jointes
ä cette bande.
Modefes 4200/4400 Report Stereo
Dans le modele 4200 REPORT Stereo, lös
entrefers superieur et inferieur de la täte en-
registrement/lecture doivent se trouver á egale
distance des aretes respectives de la bande.
Dans le modele 4400 REPORT Stereo, I'en-
trefer superieur doit se trouver au meme ni-
veau que I'aräte superieure de la bande ma-
gnetique. Le contröle s'execute au moyen des
bandes d'ajustage UHER á deux pistes et ä
quatre pistes, confon
jointes á ces bandes.
