E The descaling programme lasts approx. 45 minutes.
E JURA descaling tablets are available from stockists.
E If you use a CLARIS filter cartridge and this is activated, or the
water hardness is set to 'not active', you will not be prompted
to descale the machine.
E Do not descale the machine if a CLARIS filter cartridge is fit-
ted.
Precondition: Your IMPRESSA is ready for operation, the message
R is shown on the display.
T Open the cover of the programming buttons.
% T Press the descaling button.
The current maintenance status is shown.
% T Press the descaling button again.
START DESCALING
% T Press the descaling button to start the descaling operation.
EMPTY DRIP TRAY
T Empty the drip tray.
EMPTY COFFEE GROUNDS CONT.
T Empty the coffee grounds container.
T Replace the coffee grounds container and the drip tray.
SOLVENT IN TANK
T Remove the water tank and empty it.
T Completely dissolve the contents of one blister (three JURA
descaling tablets) in a container that holds 700 ml of water.
This may take several minutes.
T Pour the solution into the empty water tank and insert it in
the machine.
T Place three receptacles under the dual spout, the steam pipe
and the hot water pipe.
% T Press the descaling button.
MACHINE IS DESCALING, water flows from the steam pipe,
the dual spout and the hot water pipe. You can follow the
current status of descaling on the progress bar.
The process is interrupted, EMPTY DRIP TRAY.
T Empty the drip tray and replace the tray.
