FIN
1. Lay the base (A) on the ground with the underside facing upwards.
2. Remove the slats from the base. It is important that the slats are
DK
removed before the motor is tested.
3. Remove the plastic strips from the motor. Attach the motor to the
chassis using three bolts (C).
PL
4a. Attach the legs (D) using 2 bolts (E) for each leg. In the case of
single beds the legs have to point outwards.
4b. If two beds are positioned up against each other, the middle legs
at the foot end can be attached in such a way that they point inwards.
5. Turn the base over so that it is standing on its legs.
6. Place the headboard (F) in the rail behind the head end of the
base, press it downwards and fix it using two bolts (G) and rings (H).
Make sure that the recess for the remote control in the pillow board is
pointed outwards.
7. Insert the plug of the motor in the socket on the headboard and fit
the motor lead safeguard. Put the lead in the compartment in the base.
8. Lay the reversible mattress (I) and the topper mattress (J) on the bed.
9. Attach the electricity supply (K) to the bed and then connect this to
the mains. Activate the remote control.
Assembly and activation of the remote control
Assembly (II)
1. Place the batteries supplied in the device (2x AAA).
2. The remote control is fitted with a magnet and can be stored in the
recess on the side of the headboard.
Activation (III)
1. Press the button on the adjustment mechanism under the bed and
keep it pressed until it emits a double audible signal.
2. Now press, within 20 seconds, the control button on the remote
control towards one of the two sides in order to attune the adjustment
mechanism and the remote control.
The remote control has now been activated and tuned to the
adjustment mechanism and the electric motor under the bed. In the
case of a double bed, the remote controls must each be tuned to
their own adjustment mechanism and activated.

Instructions for use
Your new bed has two movement functions that can be operated
separately:
The relax function. The central part of the bed can be lowered
separately using the remote control. This makes it very easy for you
to relax if you are lying on our back.
Moveable headboard. Similarly, this function only works using the
remote control. You can only move the headboard to a different
position if you are actually sitting in bed.
Relax function
The relax function is most effective if you are lying on your back.
Your lower back and pelvis will then be lowered to an ideal position
in which to relax. If you are used to sleeping on your back, this is
also an excellent position in which to sleep. If you always sleep on
your side, you must raise the relax function before you go to sleep.
You should only leave the relax function down while sleeping on your
side in exceptional circumstances, for example if you are suffering
from a bad back. If you sleep on your front, the relax function should
be raised.
Headboard
You can use the movable part of the headboard if you want to read,
write, watch TV, etc. Additional comfort can be achieved if you
combine this with the relax function in the low position. The most
enjoyable position is if you lie with your head slightly raised on the
headboard. You can, of course, always use an extra pillow. Try the
headboard in different positions until you find the one that is best
suited to your needs. You can then save this position in the remote
control. If you want to go to sleep, you should move the headboard
right back as far as it will go.
Instructions on how to use the remote control (IV)
The remote control can be used to adjust the bed's two mechanical
functions. It also has a reset-memory function.
Relax function
1. If you push the control button downwards, the base will go down
(sitting position).
2. If you push the control button upwards, the bed will return to the
horizontal position (sleeping position).
Headboard function
3. If you push the control button to the left, the headboard will go
down at an angle.
4. If you push the control button to the right, the headboard will
return to its starting position.
Reset-memory function
5. If you briefly press the control button, the head end and the base
will return to their starting position. If you have saved a setting, you
can switch between the starting position and your preferred position.
Saving a setting
Put the bed in the position you want to save. Press the control
button until it lights up twice. The position has now been saved.
NB: if you save a new position, the old setting will be overwritten.
Guarantee
If used normally, your Jensen bed is guaranteed for 5 years. The receipt on which the date of purchase is stated serves as a certificate of
guarantee. In the event of any errors or defects, please contact the store at which you purchased the bed.
QUALITY REST
"Everything Jensen does is aimed at ensuring optimal quality rest."
That is our basic quality rest philosophy. Years of collaboration with
physiotherapists means we have learned what is important when it
comes to creating a good bed that guarantees you optimal quality
rest and a good night's sleep.
Jensen zones
Our considerable knowledge of the human anatomy has resulted, for
example, in the unique Jensen zones. These are a feature of all our
mattresses. The Jensen zones system allows for the fact that our
bodies are different shapes, weights and weight distributions and, just
as importantly, adopt different positions when we lie down. Thanks to
these zones, our bodies are able to sink into the mattress while giving
us support where we need it.
All our mattresses not only have the zone system but are also
manufactured with filling material with a soft surface. This relaxes
muscles, tendons and optimises circulation. The effect is enhanced
even more so as the bed's lying zone is covered with a stretch
material.
We regard it as very important to design beds that allow proper air
circulation. This ensures that our products effectively remove the
moisture we naturally produce when in bed. This reduces the risk of
mites and mould.
Headboard
A lot of people suffer from sore shoulders, numb arms, neck ache
and headache. These problems are often caused by your head or
neck being in the wrong position when in bed. This is why Jensen has
developed its own, adjustable headboard that can be adapted to your
personal preferences.
Safety
Please ensure no one is under the bed when you use it.
Malfunctions
If the moving parts of the bed are not functioning, check whether:
• The plug has been properly inserted into the socket
• The socket is working
• The lead connection is attached to the motor under the bed
• The lead connection is attached to the motor under the headboard
If the remote control is not working, check whether:
• The batteries have run out
• The lead is in the connection under the headboard
Electrical data
Input: 230-240V / 50Hz / 50W
REST TECHNOLOGY
The remote control is used to adjust the bed's movements. The
movable head end supports your back and the relax function lowers
your hips. These functions provide additional comfort if, for example,
you want to read or write in bed. Before you go to sleep, raise the
headboard and return the relax function to its starting position by
briefly pressing the button. Your bed will then look just like any other
bed. If you sleep on your back, you may also use the relax function
while sleeping (see below under 'lying on your back').
Having a good bed does not always mean you automatically lie in the
right position. To get the very best out of your bed, it is important to
lie in it properly.
Recommendations;
Lying on your side
If you lie on your side, remember the following:
• Lie in a balanced fashion.
• Lie with your legs parallel to each other.
• Your hips should be directly above each other.
• Your shoulders should be directly above each other.
• Pull the lowest shoulder/arm forward slightly.
• Place your pillow so that your neck and head are in line with
your spine.
• It may help to place a pillow between your knees (to reduce
the pressure).
Lying on your back
If you lie on your back, remember the following:
• The bed has to be a bit soft so that your lower body can sink
down into the bed a little.
• Use the relax function to regulate the degree to which you sink
into the bed.
• Arrange your pillow comfortably.
Noise level
A mechanical and electrical bed generates noise. In most instances,
the amount of noise that the bed makes depends on the acoustics
of the room in which the bed is situated.
Usage
The bed's motor is not designed for continuous usage. The bed
will only continue to be reliable and operate for a normal life if the
motor is not activated for longer than 2 minutes during an 18-minute
period. Any attempt to exceed this degree of usage will reduce the
life of the product and may render the guarantee invalid.
The bed has been constructed in such a way that it can bear a
maximum weight of 150 kg, distributed equally between the head
end and the foot end. Any attempt to exceed this degree of usage will
reduce the life of the product and may render the guarantee invalid.
