The packaging material can be recycled. Please do
not throw the packaging material into household
waste; please send it for recycling.
Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be
recycled; these should be sent for recycling. Batteries,
oil, and similar substances must not enter the environ-
ment. Please dispose of your old appliances using ap-
propriate collection systems.
Please do not release engine oil, fuel oil, diesel and petrol into
the environment Protect the ground and dispose of used oil in an
environmentally-clean manner.
Kärcher detergents are easy-to-dispose. This means that the
functioning of an oil separator is not hampered. Please find a list
of recommended detergents in the chapter "Accessories".

 The appliance has a model approval as fired pressure device
according to the pressure appliance guideline (DGRL) 97/23/
EG. The following test was conducted:
Pressure testing of the heating coil using 20.8 MPa.

the concerned monitoring authorities (trade monitoring office). No

approvals are required in Germany.

- The hot water generator is a firing unit with a wattage rating

of more than 50 kW. The local applicable guidelines for heat-
2
ing rooms are to be followed.

- The hot water generator is a heating system. All national laws
4
and regulations about heating systems must also be followed.

- If the plant is operated in closed rooms, then there should be
6
adequate measures for safely diverting the exhaust gases out
6
of the room (smoke gas pipes with draught interceptors). Fur-
7
ther, there must also be adequate supply of fresh air.

Appliance without the upgrade kit for the steam stage

- As per the applicable national guidelines, the first time this hot
8
water generator must be taken into operation by a skilled per-

son. KÄRCHER has already performed this initial start-up for

you and has documented it accordingly. The documentation

can be requested at your KÄRCHER partner. Please have the

part and plant number of the appliance available when enquir-

ing about the documentation.

- We would like to point out that the appliance must be repeat-
edly checked by a skilled person as prescribed by the appli-
cable national regulations. Please contact your KÄRCHER
partner.
Appliance with the upgrade kit for the steam stage
- As per the applicable national guidelines, the first time this hot
water generator must be taken into operation by an approved
supervisory board (ZÜS).
- We would like to point out that the appliance must be repeat-
edly checked by a skilled person as prescribed by the ap-
proved supervisory board (ZÜS). Please contact your
KÄRCHER partner.
Operation in combination with a high pressure pump
- Please follow the national rules and regulations for fluid spray
jets of the respective country.
- Please follow the national rules and regulations for accident
prevention of the respective country. Fluid spray jets must be
tested regularly and the results of these tests must be docu-
mented in writing.
There is no working area as such within the appliance itself. Only
maintenance jobs can be done there.
