eFlow ® rapid Vernebler
– Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch,
damit Sie sich mit dem Gebrauch des eFlow
Verneblers vertraut machen können.
– Lesen Sie unbedingt auch die Gebrauchsanweisung
des eFlow ® rapid nebuliser system vor dem ersten
Gebrauch durch. Darin befinden sich zusätzliche wich-
tige Hinweise zum Gebrauch des eFlow
lers, insbesondere zum Anschluss, zum Betrieb und zur
Hygiene.

1 Zweckbestimmung
Der eFlow ® rapid Vernebler ist für den Gebrauch mit einer
eFlow rapid Steuerungseinheit (Typ 178) oder einem

eBase Controller (Typ 678) bestimmt.
Der eFlow rapid Vernebler ist zu Hause für den Gebrauch
ohne Patientenwechsel bestimmt.
6 Die Verneblungszeit ist vom Inhalat und vom Füllvolumen
abhängig.
2 Verwendung des Verneblers
• Zerlegen und reinigen Sie den Vernebler einschließlich des
Aerosolerzeugers vor dem ersten Gebrauch wie es in der
Gebrauchsanweisung für das eFlow ® rapid nebuliser system
beschrieben wird.
• Bauen Sie den Vernebler gemäß Abbildung zusammen:

2 Setzen Sie den Aerosolerzeuger ein – Berühren Sie nicht
die Membran (Metallteil, Mitte) des Aerosolerzeugers!
3 Legen Sie das Einatemventil ein
4 Schließen Sie den Vernebler
5 Stecken Sie das Mundstück auf
6 Schließen Sie das Verneblerkabel an
7 Füllen Sie das Medikament ein
8 Schließen Sie den Medikamentenbehälter
9 Setzen Sie sich entspannt und aufrecht hin
Dadurch kann die Inhalation erleichtert und die Medikamen-
tendeposition in den Atemwegen verbessert werden.
3 Reinigung und Desinfektion
Der Vernebler (inkl. Aerosolerzeuger) muss sofort nach jedem
Gebrauch gereinigt und mindestens einmal am Tag desinfiziert wer-
den (weitere Informationen finden Sie in der Gebrauchsanweisung
für das eFlow ® rapid nebuliser system).
4 Austausch des Verneblers
Der Vernebler ist für Mehrfachanwendungen vorgesehen. Damit
während der gesamten Inhalationstherapie die exakte Dosierung
eingehalten wird, und damit die Inhalationszeit so kurz wie möglich
gehalten werden kann, müssen, je nach Häufigkeit und Dauer der
Anwendung, der Vernebler spätestens alle 12 Monate und der
Aerosolerzeuger alle 3 bis 6 Monate ausgetauscht werden.

– Read these instructions carefully to learn how to use
your eFlow rapid nebuliser handset.

– Make sure you also read the instructions for use
enclosed with the eFlow rapid nebuliser system

before first use. They include important additional infor-
mation about use of the eFlow ® rapid nebuliser handset
in particular in relation to connection, operation and
hygiene.
1 Intended use
The eFlow rapid nebuliser handset is intended to be used in

combination with an eFlow ® rapid control unit (type 178) or an
eBase Controller (type 678).
The eFlow ® rapid nebuliser handset is intended for single
patient use at home.
The nebulisation time depends on the inhalation product and fill
volume.
2 Use of nebuliser handset
• Disassemble and clean the nebuliser handset including the
aerosol head according to the instructions for use enclosed with
the eFlow rapid nebuliser system before first use.

• Assemble the nebuliser handset as shown in the pictures:
1 Open the nebuliser handset
2 Insert the aerosol head – Do not touch the membrane
(metal part, CENTER) of the aerosol head!
3 Place the inspiratory valve
4 Close the nebuliser handset
5 Attach the mouthpiece
6 Mount the connection cord
7 Fill in the medication
8 Close the medication reservoir
9 Sit in an upright position and relax
This makes inhalation easier and improves deposition of the
medication in the respiratory tract.

4 Replace your nebuliser handset
The nebuliser is designed for multiple uses. In order to ensure that
an exact quantity is delivered throughout the inhalation treatment
period, and that the session is as quick as possible, the nebuliser
must be replaced at least every 12 months and the aerosol head
every 3 to 6 months depending on the frequency and duration of its
use.
