Maintaining the BestWater System

First you must turn off the flow of
water to the device. Please close the
corner valve and turn on the faucet
to empty the reservoir.
Open the front hatch of the BestWa-
ter system. Use the
screwdriver to unscrew the indi-
vidual screws on both sides of the
front hatch and remove the hatch
from the system.
Remove the old 20 µm pre-filter
cartridge and insert a new 20 µm
pre-filter cartridge. Turn the cart-
ridge finger-tight into the right filter
head.

Remove the old activated charcoal
cartridge with the activated charcoal
pre-filter and insert a new activated
charcoal pre-filter. Turn the cart-
ridge finger-tight into the left filter
head.
Now you can replace the system's
star
post-filter. Push the connecting
rings at the ends of the post-
filter inward and remove the quick
connects from the post-filter. Use
the instructions and images on page
40 for assistance if necessary.
Remove the post-filter from its
fastening clamps and install the new
post-filter. Remember the direction
of the water flow when installing the
new post-filter. This goes from the
bottom up.
Now connect the quick connects to
the new post-filter.
Once all filters have been replaced
you can reattach the front hatch
back to the BestWater system.
Finally you must disinfect the unit.
Close the stopcock on the stored
pressure tank.
Maintaining the BestWater System
Remove the hose from the stopcock
of the stored pressure tank.
Set the disinfection module onto the
stopcock of the stored pressure tank
and connect it to the BestWater sys-
tem so that the purified water can
flow through the disinfection modu-
le into the tank. The disinfection
module itself has no specific
flow direction and its shape may
differ from the image.
You can now turn on the flow of wa-
ter to the appliance.
