lead to the jack
the position "A".
With currents up to 200 mA, connect the red test lead to
the jack INPUT (11). For the time being, set the selector
switch to the position "mA". After the measurement, select the
smaller ranges "µA", if required.
2) After selecting or changing a current measuring range, the
AC current measurement is always activated: "AC" is dis-
played. For DC current measurements, switch to "DC" with
the button FUNC. (9). If required, return to AC current meas-
urement with the button FUNC.
3) Open the circuit to be measured and connect the meter.
4) In case of a DC current, a minus sign will precede the meas-
ured value if the negative pole is at the red test prod and the
positive pole is at the black test prod.
5) If a measuring range is exceeded, "OL" (overload) is dis-
played. In this case, select a higher measuring range.
Notes
a If no current measurement is possible, check the fuse and re-
place it, if required – see chapter 6.
b The function
adapter. (A matching adapter is presently not available from
MONACOR.)

5.3 Resistance measurement

The meter is overload-protected up to 250 V /~. However,
never make measurements within a live circuit.
Always measure a resistor separately, otherwise the meas-
urement will be inaccurate. For this purpose, it must be sol-
dered out of the circuit, if required.
1) Connect the black test lead to the jack COM (5) and the red
test lead to the jack INPUT (11).
2) Set the selector switch (10) to the position "Ω".
3) Apply the test prods to the resistor or to the corresponding
measuring points.
Notes
a With a resistance value between 1 MΩ and 20 MΩ, it will take
a few seconds until the meter shows a steady reading.
b "OL" (overload) is displayed if the test leads are not connect-
ed, if the resistance is higher than 19.99 MΩ, or if the meas-
uring range selected is too small in case of manual range se-
lection (see chapter 5.8).
