5.11 Switching on the display illumination

To switch on the display illumination, keep the button
pressed for 2 seconds. The illumination is automatically
switched off after 15 seconds.

6 Replacing the Battery or Fuse

If the symbol
must be replaced by three new 1.5 V batteries (size AAA).
If it is not possible to measure currents in the ranges up to
200 mA and to test batteries or transistors, check the internal
fuse (F200 mA/250 V) and replace it, if required.
Prior to opening the meter, always remove the test prods from
the measuring points of the circuit to prevent an electric shock.
Never operate the meter when it is open.
1) To replace the batteries or the fuse, unscrew the grey battery
compartment cover on the rear side: Unfold the tilt stand so
that the two recessed head screws of the cover are accessi-
ble. Remove the screws and the cover of the battery com-
partment.
