3 Applications

The digital multimeter DMT-3040 with automatic range selection
is suitable for measuring AC and DC voltages, AC and DC cur-
rents, and resistances. Furthermore, it is possible to test diodes,
transistors, and batteries. A temperature sensor is supplied for
measuring temperatures and a buzzer is integrated for testing
continuity.

4 Operation

1) To obtain a good reading position, unfold the tilt stand on the
rear side.
2) Press the red button ON/OFF (2). A reading appears on the
display (6). If it fails to appear, insert three 1.5 V batteries
(size AAA). If the symbol

3) Always switch off the meter after operation with the red but-
ton ON/OFF. The meter is automatically switched off if it is
not used for 15 minutes. One minute before it is automatically
switched off, there will be 5 short sound signals; when it is
switched off, there will be a longer sound signal.
To switch it on again, press the red button twice or press
one of the buttons MAX
FUNC. (9), or the selector switch (10) once.
4) If the multimeter is not used for a longer period, the batteries
should be removed to prevent damage to the meter in case of
battery leakage.

If the meter is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is
not harmful to the environment.
Dead batteries do not belong in the household rub-
bish; always take them to a special waste disposal
(e. g. collecting container at your retailer).
